For the first time, the Rugby School organised its reunion dinner in India.
The sit-down dinner was hosted by the headmaster of the Rugby School, Patrick Derham and his better half, Alison, at Burdwan Palace, Alipore on Saturday. And apart from the alumni, there were also a few current pupils of the school present at the dinner party.
The school, which has been in existance since 1567, has a rich history, producing two Prime Ministers, one British and another, French.

The school, which believes in providing service to the society, has ex-students scattered all over the world. Patrick Derham said on the occasion, “We are excited to host the dinner in India.
It is our endeavour to bring together the school alumni, who are spread across South East Asia.” The school is also associated with Future Hope School in Kolkata, whose team is the current U-20 and U-16 Rugby national champion. As the guests sat down for dinner, they recalled their good ol’ days together.
